New Non-Hormonal Treatment for Hot Flushes

Last month, exciting news was announced in the world of menopause care. A new non-hormonal menopause treatment option, called Elinzanetant, is now available for those experiencing moderate to severe hot flushes.


Elinzanetant targets specific brain receptors involved in regulating body temperature, helping to reduce hot flushes and night sweats without using hormones. This could be a great alternative for people who cannot take HRT or prefer a non-hormonal option.


It’s an important step forward, offering more choice and flexibility for symptom management during menopause. Read the full article below:


What We’re Up To


The summer juggle is real! With the kids off school (and a new puppy keeping us on our toes), live events have been on pause for a few weeks. But behind the scenes, lots has been happening…


Earlier this year, I was lucky enough to win a brand shoot, and last month I finally stepped in front of the camera! Huge thanks to Cat from catparsonsphotography for making the experience so relaxed and enjoyable. Now it’s time to start making the most of the gorgeous new images! 


I also had the pleasure of taking part in another fantastic menopause wellness evening at Baccello’s in Christchurch alongside Caroline Coombs, Samantha Tarr, and Kyla Rogers. It’s always a privilege to share knowledge and connect with so many people passionate about wellbeing.


Looking ahead, I’m in talks for an exciting local collaboration exploring how your skincare and cleaning products can be just as important as your nutrition when it comes to reducing hormone-disrupting toxins. Keep an eye out for more details and an autumn date- this is going to be a good one!

Let’s Talk Decluttering

 

Feeling a little overloaded lately? August can be a strange mix; holidays, heat, kids off school, and a to-do list that never quite shrinks. That’s why this month, I want to talk about decluttering. Not just the kitchen drawers, but your mind, your phone, your emotions, and maybe even your relationships.

Sometimes the biggest shifts come from clearing the small stuff. Let’s make some space for clarity.

 

1. Physical Decluttering

Whether it’s your wardrobe, kitchen, or your bathroom shelf, physical clutter affects mental clarity.

Try this: Choose one small space (your bag, your bedside drawer) and spend 15 minutes clearing it out. Notice how your energy shifts.

  

2. Mental Decluttering

Racing thoughts, endless lists, and emotional noise? You’re not alone.

Try this: Write down everything that’s taking up space in your head; appointments, feelings, worries, tasks. Then circle what actually matters this week. Let the rest go for now.

You could also gently encourage journaling or one of your sessions as a way to offload.

 

 3. Tech Decluttering

How many open tabs, unread notifications, or random email subscriptions are quietly draining your energy?

Try this:

  • Unsubscribe from 3 emails you never open

  • Delete 5 apps you haven’t used in months

  • Turn off non-essential notification

  

4. People & Boundaries

This one’s tender, but important. Sometimes we carry the weight of other people’s expectations, energy, or opinions.

 Ask yourself:

  • Who lifts me up?

  • Who drains me?

  • What boundaries could I put in place this month?

 A reminder: You don’t owe everyone access to your time or energy.
